- How long does a company have to refund me?
- Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, once a trader agrees you're owed a refund for faulty goods, they must pay it within 14 days. If you cancelled an online order within the 14-day cooling-off period, the refund is due within 14 days of them getting the goods back (or proof you sent them).
- Is a phone call enough?
- A call gets you a status and a promise on record, which is often all it takes. If it's still stuck, put it in writing too: Citizens Advice has template letters. The call summary gives you the date, the name and what they said for that letter.
- What if I paid by card?
- If a company won't refund, you may be able to ask your card provider instead: Section 75 covers credit card purchases between £100 and £30,000, and chargeback can help with debit cards. That's a job for you and your bank, but the call summary is useful evidence.
- What does it cost?
- 3 calls a month are free with a verified UK mobile number, no card needed. After that, £0.99 per connected call, or less in a bundle: 11 calls for £9.99 or 24 for £19.99. No subscription, and no charge if nobody answers.
- Will they know it's an AI?
- If asked, Dito says it's an AI assistant calling on your behalf. It never pretends to be you, and it only shares the details your task needs.
